A Human-Crafted Bird Nest and Some Awesome Photos

How appropriate that this bird nest kick off the renovation work on the historic Texas Landmark Skaggs House. Thank you, Larry Whiteley, for the contribution of your beautiful art piece.

We have an opening bid, but don’t be dismayed.  If you would like to help Frontera Audubon and walk away with something gorgeous to show for it, think about purchasing one of Michael Delesantro’s enlarged and professionally mounted photographs of the Rio Grande Valley’s unique landforms and wildlife. Contact the Frontera Visitors’ Center (956) 968-3275 or come see for yourself on Sunday evening when you have the chance to “Help Feather Our Nest.”

  • Sunday, September 26, 2010
  • 1201 S. Texas Blvd. Weslaco, TX
  • $50 with proceeds to benefit the renovation of the historic home for programming and special events
  • Tickets available at the door.  Cash/credit card sales welcome
