Payne Home in Weslaco is the Place To Be on Sun. Sept. 26

The beautifully renovated home of Bud and Marlee Payne next door to Frontera Audubon is the site of  Frontera’s “Help Feather Our Nest” fundraiser on Sunday evening, September 26.  Guests will enjoy wine and cheese while viewing the photography of Michael Delesantro, local naturalist and retired high school teacher, who has been a valued supporter of Frontera for many years.  This year, Michael traveled the Valley capturing photographic images as Frontera’s contestant in the Valley Land Fund Photo Competition, and his 75 “suitable for framing” shots will be enlarged and showcased at the event.  In addition, a live jazz band will be playing by the pool and a unique art piece crafted by Larry Whiteley will be auctioned.  Cost for the fundraiser is $50, and tickets are available at the Frontera Audubon Visitors’ Center or by phone (956) 968-3275.  Don’t miss this chance to visit an amazing home and support a worthwhile cause!
