Join Michael Delesantro for a Photo Walk at Frontera on Sun., Jan. 24, 9a.m. till 11a.m.  The Thicket and surrounding area will never look the same to you after Michael shares the secrets of where to look for wildlife, large and tiny, to capture with any sort of camera you choose to bring along.  Michael is an award-winning photographer and biology instructor at the Science Academy of South Texas with an observer’s eye and artist’s touch.  This program is free to members; $3 to others.  Call Frontera Audubon at (956) 968-3275 to preregister for this workshop limited to 15

MARK KLYM TALKS ABOUT HUMMERS! On Wed., Jan. 27 come have lunch at Frontera and listen to author Mark Klym talk about the migratory patterns of hummingbirds.  He’ll be signing his beautiful little book entitled Hummingbirds of Texas and guiding a short walk along the drip pond.  Free to members; $3 to others.  Bring a sack lunch…fresh squeezed orange juice provided.  Gift Shop is chalked full of feeders!
